(too old to reply)

Greetings,

I would like to generate a report showing SCOM Administrator Activity. Type
of activity would include Management Pack creations, overrides, etc. Also
activity on who is closing what alerts, how many, etc.

How would one go about this type of report?

Thanks!

Hello Brian C. from Boulder,

You could see objects in management packs but there is no log, that I am
aware of, that logs who is doing what in ops mgr. Sorry

For future questions please note that Microsoft has recently launched a new
space at Microsoft Technet Forums for Operations Manager 2007 R2. You will
find it at http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-us/category/systemcenteroperationsmanager.

Anders,

Hi! Thank you for posting so quickly. I did find this from Kevin Holman's
Blog on SQL Statements in the Data Warehouse Section...
http://blogs.technet.com/kevinholman/archive/2007/10/18/useful-operations-manager-2007-sql-queries.aspx

I haven't tried them yet, but they look promising.

What I'm looking for is what is built into SCCM where you can query SCCM
Admin actiivity.

Thanks!

Anders,

Hi! Under System Status, Status Message Queries. From there I can weed
through all status messages or specifically look for things like
"advertisements created, modified, or deleted". There's 69 built in queries
that really help a site admin. Would be nice to have something like this in
SCOM.

Thanks!

Hello Brian C. from Boulder,

Could you run the queries direct in SQL management studio? Can you post one
of the queries then.
