Hello,

I'm installing MSCOM R2 Reporting Services and DW on Windows 2008R2, however
the install fails. Here is a fragment of the log file:

=== Logging stopped: 4/28/2010 9:34:05 ===
MSI (c) (78:38) [09:34:05:009]: Note: 1: 1708
MSI (c) (78:38) [09:34:05:009]: Product: System Center Operations Manager
2007 R2 Reporting Server -- Installation operation failed.

MSI (c) (78:38) [09:34:05:014]: Windows Installer installed the product.
Product Name: System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 Reporting Server.
Product Version: 6.1.7221.0. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Microsoft
Corporation. Installation success or error status: 1603.

Once the install fails, it brings SQL Reporting down for good and the only
way to get it back is remove and install the instance again.

Any ideas how to fix this?

GUI errors says this:

The Setup Wizard was interrupted before Operations Manager R2 could be
installed. Your system has not been modified.

Once I click Finish another screen comes that says:

The Setup Failed. Do you want to open the setup log file. (search for "value
3" in the file for locationg failure)?

Looking forward for suggestions :)

thanks!
