Hi
I encountered a problem when i try to install Operations Manager R2
Reporting role on my server.
Platform information:
SQL Server 2008 SP1 failover cluster on Windows 2008 R2 windows cluster.
Currently cluster consists only of one Node: Node1, additional nodes will be
added at later date.
All OM service accounts are in local administrators group on Node1.
WinCluster network name: WinCLS1
SQL Cluster network name: SQLCLS1
Clustered SQL Server Database Services instance name: SCOM
I already installed OperationManager db and OperationManagerDW db on this
instance.
Then I installed non clustered Reporting services on Node1 with instance
name SCOM_Reporting.
Reporting Services are configured to use clustered sql server SQLcls1\SCOM
for reporting database, and is functioning properly. I can browse report
manager application.
When I run OperationManager Reporting setup i select only Reporting component.
Next I supply RMS server.
Next I provide SQLCLS1\SCOM sql instance for OperationManagerDW database.
Then from drop down list it shows correct reporting service instance
SQLcls1\SCOM_Reporting.
And when I click next, setup window hangs; it doesn’t go to next window and
just stays there.
I left it like this over night and still found it hanging next morning.
In setup log no errors are visible, but the last line is cut off.
There are some of the last lines from setup log:
MSI (c) (F8:C4) [14:49:34:470]: Note: 1: 2235 2: 3: ExtendedType 4: SELECT
`Action`,`Type`,`Source`,`Target`, NULL, `ExtendedType` FROM `CustomAction`
