Hi all,

I have the following problem. I’ve added ID’s to scope the report access.
The group members in the “Operation Manager Report Operators” have
OpsMgrReader user mapping rights in SQL.
All the reports are visible but not all of them can be run.
For example the ODR.Report.ManagementGroup reports give no problem but the
ODR.Report.MostCommonAlerts give from the OpsMgr console “One or more data
sources is missing credentials”.
When I run the reports via a web browser it’s asking for a username and
password. (Enter a user name and password to access the data source)
Supplying this will give access to the report.
The difference between the reports is that the MostComminAlerts is a Linked
report. I think it’s looking for a data source but I can’t figure it out.

Hi Bas,

Usually this problem occurs if one of the data sources defined in the report
is NOT set to "Credentials are not required". Could you please verify that
Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouse.Report.MostCommonAlerts report has
DataWarehouseAlert custom data source connection settings set to
"Credentials are not required"?

Hi Eugene,

Setting the data source under
Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouse.Report.Library/Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouse.Report.MostCommonAlerts solved the problem.
Thanks!

I was attempting to do this as well and found the Data Source within
Reporting Services to be grayed out. I then tried using the server/reports
web site, selected Show Details, but did not find a data source within:
Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouse.Report.Library/Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouse.Report.MostCommonAlerts

Any ideas?

I am experiencing this issue as well. Some reports are processed fine,
others display the message "one or more data sources is missing credentials",
ie. Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Monitoring | SQL Database space report....and
others. I used the browser to drill into the report structure for the SQL
Database Space Report and found that they must be tied to the Data Warehouse
Main data source, which already has the "Credential are not required"
configuration.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this further?
Thanks,
Sven
